Paul Dacre was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 2013.

He is a highly experienced trial and appellate lawyer specialising in all areas of criminal law including fraud, murder and drug trials.

Paul has successfully appeared in courts at all levels throughout New Zealand and the Pacific both for the defence and the prosecution. He has also appeared on a number of occasions in the Privy Council in London.

In 2003, he was appointed Public Defender for the Pitcairn Islands and defended one of the most complex criminal cases in UK history. 

He also appeared successfully in a death penalty trial in California.
